Today, July 12, 2024, Parachutes for Pets is announcing the upcoming opening of a new space in the community of Ogden, to help fill the desperate need for additional safekeeping kennels in Calgary.

In development since the start of 2024, 'The Landing Pad, brought to you by Parachutes for Pets' is a new initiative offering temporary animal safekeeping to vulnerable communities in Calgary.

Set to open in mid-august, our team has been hard at work fundraising for this space, but we need your help. Following the tragic loss of Lucky who was left alone in a hot car, it is imperative that we open this space as swiftly–and as safely–as possible.

That is why today we are launching the 'Landing Pad Acceleration Fund,' a campaign to raise $50K so we can get The Landing Pad across the finish line, support owners, and ensure that no other pet suffers the same fate as Lucky did.
