During the COVID-19 pandemic, Pain BC’s vision of a future where no one is alone with pain feels particularly relevant. The necessary physical distancing restrictions have had a tremendously negative impact on people living with chronic pain, who are now experiencing increased isolation and even fewer options for support and care.

During this emergency, and beyond, we are committed to enhancing the well-being of people with pain through empowerment, care, education and innovation. Our free support services for people with pain have been adapted for improved accessibility; our online education programs continue to increase capacity to assess and manage pain among health care providers of all disciplines; and the calls to change how pain is understood and managed are being heard at the provincial and national levels.

Pain BC has rapidly mobilized to address the evolving needs of people with pain during this public health emergency but there’s still a lot more we can do. As a registered charity, we rely on the generosity and commitment of our supporters to help fund our many programs and services.
