Ottawa Little Theatre earns 88% of its budget through box office sales, bar sales, and through rentals of its space, costumes and props. Government grants cover 2% of its budget. It needs to raise the other 10% of its annual operating costs through fundraising. Half of this is raised through Sponsorship and Events, but the other half comes from individuals just like you. Consider making a donation that will pay for some of the theatre's basic costs during its 106th Season:
$25 purchases make-up for one volunteer actor
$100 helps purchase basic supplies such as lumber or paint to build the set on one show
$300 covers royalties for one evening performance
$500 pays for the scripts for one production
$750 allows OLT to provide coffee, tea and some munchies to the 40+ volunteers who work for three months to rehearse and build one production
$1,000 pays for four light bulbs for the theatre lights
$1,500 pays for one week of utilities used in the theatre
$2,000 pays for the 5,000 house programmes required for each production
$2,500 pays for newspaper advertising for for each production
Donations of over $100 are listed in the theatre's house programmes for all nine productions in the season for which the donation was made.
