$450.00raised of $300.00
150%
Campaign Ended January 2, 2021
Hello all,
You may know I recently became a director at large for Ontario Nature (officially November 14th 2020!), an organization very dear to my heart. They stand up and provide a voice for Ontario's biodiversity and strive to protect all that is wild in Ontario.
This year for giving Tuesday all money raised will go to restoring the recently acquired Sydenham River nature reserve.
The entire Board of Directors will be matching all funds up to a maximum of $5000, and I personally will match all donations up to a maximum of $300.
The habitat-at-risk in the Sydenham River Watershed is located in Chatham-Kent, Lambton and Middlesex areas.
This is a biodiversity hotspot in an area under intense pressure as it hosts 25% of the Canadian population. Less than 12% of local forest remains, which threatens many species at risk including the cerulean warbler, eastern wood-pewee and several endangered turtles.
