We are a local Kennel & Shelter that operates in Ponoka and the wider community. We take in strays and abandonned animals, educate and promote responsible pet ownership and actively engage with the Centennial Centre for Mental Health and Brain injuries for animal assisted therapy visits.
We are currently looking for donations on either a monthly or annual basis. This could be both a corporate, or a personal sponsorship!
We are well over capacity and many of our animals need medical care, so these sponsors are extremely important to us. Your donations will enable us to provide the best veterinary care and quality of life for the dogs and cats that make their way to Old Macdonalds Shelter. With the ultimate goal of helping them to find their forever. Your donations will also help us to continue to build on our assisted animal therapy shelter visits programs. As these have proved so vital for our community.

**DONATIONS NEEDED**
We currently have a TON of veterinary expenses. Some animals arriving at OMK are in really rough shape and require immediate veterinary attention. Vet bills can be easily a few hundred dollars to several thousand dollars and these animals are not under any pet insurance plan. Injuries include anything from porcupine quills, to broken bones ($2000), to ligament surgery ($4500) to even having to have amputation. This does NOT include expenses relating to spay/neuter/deworming, and vaccinations for adoption readiness.
