Our Mission

Oasis Centre des femmes is a non-profit community organization that was created in 1995 by the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General to develop and implement sexual assault support and prevention services in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and Halton Peel region.

Oasis Centre des femmes offers an accompaniment in French to indivuduals from the GTA and Halton-Peel, who identify themselves as women, affected by violence in all its forms, so that they take back their agency and engage themselves in the processes of their own choices. We work as well with community leaders and decision makers in order to make them aware of the root causes and consequences of violence with the aim to put an end to it.

Ours is a community-based and feminist approach that provides francophone women with free, confidential assistance in French, regardless of their origins, ethnicity, religion or sexual orientation.

About OASIS CENTRE DES FEMMES INC

Our support services provide women with a space where they will be listened to without being judged, and where a woman's perspective of her abuse or assault is the focus. All of our support services are confidential, free, and available in French for women over the age of 16. The majority of our services are available to women residing in the Greater Toronto Area, however the support line, 1-877-femaide (336-2243), is available in all of Ontario.
