Denise runs a marathon for the SPCA

I was never a runner. In my mind, running was for other people, not for me. It was something I didn't do, a necessary evil that was part of soccer and basketball practice.

One day, after a lot of hesitation, I signed up for a learn to run workshop. I figured the accountability would at least get me through the 10 weeks. That summer I ran my 1st 5k, a mud run, a 2nd 5k.

Today, I've run 9 half-marathons and dozens of 10 & 5ks.I just signed up for my 1st Marathon - The Fiddlers run September 13.

I am using this opportunity to raise funds for the SPCA! Extra motivation for me to put in the work, and working towards a great cause.

I got both my furbabies from the SPCA. Tulo, a beagle, who was found roaming the forest, and Asha, a kitten who needed care. They are an amazing organization that supports animals in your community. Help me reach my fundraising goal, and keep me motivated, by donating to my page!
