Join the Nature Trust to celebrate thirty years of protecting nature - and a wild tomorrow.

Since our first fundraising dinner back in 1998, attendees and special guests have come together to affirm the simple message: conservation matters, and the work of the Nature Trust is vitally important.

In honour of all of the incredible nature you've helped to protect over the pasty thirty years, we have reimagined one of Nova Scotia's highest profile and most prestigious environmental events. Our 2025 Gala will be an unforgettable evening of immersive experience, wild wonder, art, music, food, and natural inspiration.

Details

Join us beginning at 5:30pm for a lively reception to welcome you into an evening of immersive experiences. Inspiring displays and interactive installations will bring the wonder and awe of being out in nature into an inspiring (and indoor) feast of the senses.

We are honoured to be joined by some of Nova Scotia's most celebrated artists across multiple media, including:

- The Morgan Toney Trio. 2024 JUNO-Nominated Mi'kmaq fiddler and singer Morgan Toney brings the fiery fiddling of Cape Breton Island with the old songs of the Mi’kmaq People together with brilliance and heart. First Flight, Toney’s 2023 East Coast Music Award-winning debut album, celebrates language and heritage in Toney’s transformation of traditional songs like the Ko’jua and the Mi’kmaq Honour Song alongside highly original songcraft.

- Alan Syliboy. An established Mi’kmaq artist, Alan Syliboy’s work is influenced by the indigenous Mi’kmaq rock drawing and quill weaving traditions. Working in acrylic and mixed media, Alan creates vibrantly coloured images exploring the themes of family, searching, spirituality, struggle, and strength. The use of layering symbols and mark making creates depth and texture in Alan’s work. We are honoured that Alan will be painting a drum during the event, and it will be auctioned off to attendees with 100% of the proceeds going to support the Nature Trust.

About This Charity

The Nova Scotia Nature Trust was created to protect and conserve our province’s incredible natural legacy. We work directly to save outstanding natural areas, through land conservation. We use a strategic, science-driven approach to identify and protect the most threatened, unique and significant natural areas. Together, with landowners, local communities, other conservation organizations and government we protect and steward wild places. We protect land in perpetuity, for nature and future generations to enjoy. The Nature Trust protects more than 30,000 acres of land across Nova Scotia. These conservation lands will be protected — forever.
