North York Harvest Food Bank believes in a future where every individual in North York possesses the means, choice, and power to secure their food needs and contribute to a self-sustaining, equitable community.

Our strategy intertwines emergency food access, innovative social enterprise solutions, and strong advocacy; this supports individuals and families in need but also tackles the systemic issues that perpetuate poverty.

Faced with a 92% increase in food bank usage since 2019 and a 25% spike in 2023 alone, the urgency of our work has never been more pronounced.

As North York Harvest faces the challenges of increased demand and the imminent loss of our main warehouse, our mission to build a community which is self-sustaining, equitable, and empowered is more critical than ever.
