about

We offer over 35 programs specific to address all stages of life, as well as to address the issues that many urban Indigenous people face in the urban environment. We offer connections to cultures, people, health and mental health support, legal support and access to education, training as well as employment programs. We are the largest Indigenous service provider in North Bay. North Bay itself has over 8,000 indigenous people, from all over Turtle Island. To learn about all our programs, download our e-brochure or view it online here.

Our Mission Statement

The mission of the North Bay Indigenous Friendship Centre is to improve the quality of life for First Nation, Metis, and Inuit people in the urban environment of North Bay by supporting self-determined activities that encourage equal access and participation in society which respect Indigenous culture distinctiveness. The North Bay Indigenous Friendship Centre provides many programs and services to support Indigenous people of all ages. An essential part of our mandate is to serve as a gathering place for Aboriginal and Non-Indigenous people. The Centre is a place where Indigenous culture is celebrated, friendships are made, knowledge and skills are shared, and good times are enjoyed.
