The YK Ski Club is participating in the 2025 Nordiq Canada Club Fundraiser, a fantastic opportunity to invest in our community and enhance our beloved ski trails. This year, we are focusing on a new piece of equipment: a flail mower. A flail mower is an industrial tow-behind mower used to cut brush, grass and weeds.
Why a Flail Mower?
* Enhanced Trail Quality: The flail mower will help ensure uniform brush cutting, creating smoother, safer, and more enjoyable trails for everyone.
* Reduced Volunteer Burden: Our club relies heavily on dedicated volunteers. This mower will significantly reduce the time-consuming task of manual brush clearing, allowing our volunteers to focus on other vital tasks.
* Earlier Starts to the Season: The flail mower will support our summer trail maintenance. Efficient and uniform clearing of brush, grass, and weeks means we'll need less snow to begin grooming
