This fundraiser supports the Niagara-on-the-Lake Museum's delivery of quality programs and assists the Museum in preserving the history our community.

Please join us for tea, savouries, and sweets by Niagara's Finest Hotels, as well as wine by Konzelmann, served in a traditional manner in the garden of CharLou. Discover the history of one of Niagara-on-the-Lake’s premier historic homes and its residents over time.  Special guests will be in attendance.

CharLou sits amid beautiful trees and gardens on one acre in the centre of Old Town, on land granted by the Crown to David Burns in 1796. The house was constructed in 1845 by Alexander Davidson, the first mayor of Niagara-on-the-Lake. The original house remains lovingly cared for and has been enhanced over the years.

This fundraiser supports the Niagara-on-the-Lake Museum's delivery of quality programs and assists the Museum in preserving the history our community.

Parking: Limited on-street parking only

Dress: Garden party attire and hats at your pleasure. Sensible shoes recommended. Rain or shine.

Tickets: $75 per person (includes a partial tax receipt).

About This Charity

Founded in 1895, the Niagara Historical Society collects, preserves, researches, educates and promotes the history of Niagara- on-the-lake and its communities. In 1907, the Society opened Memorial Hall, the first building in Ontario designed solely for use as an historical museum. Today, the Niagara-on-the-Lake Museum cares for over 50,000 artefacts and archives and offers exhibitions, special events, publications and educational programs for the community and its visitors.
