Our Mission
The mission of the Newmarket Food Pantry is to coordinate the efforts of the community in providing supplementary nutritional support to those in the Newmarket and East Gwillimbury areas who are unable to meet all of their dietary needs on their own.
The Newmarket Food Pantry provides food to those in need in a manner that upholds basic human dignity.
About Newmarket Food Pantry
The Newmarket Food Pantry is a charitable organization staffed by volunteers and is open to clients the following days: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., and in the evening on the second Tuesday of the month, from 6:00-7:30 p.m.
The Food Pantry provides 10-14 days of emergency food to families in need in the Newmarket and East Gwillimbury communities. Clients must provide appropriate ID proving residency in the catchment area and are given three days' worth of food. Clients may access the food bank once a month.
Monetary donations are used to purchase much-needed food items in bulk as well as milk, butter, cheese, meat, and fresh fruits and vegetables.
