Deano's Excellent Ice Road Adventure Challenge

WOW.. what a great opportunity to be a part of something so worthwhile and memorable.  I just had to take part in this adventure.

Starting Friday Feb 7th at 8am I will leave Red Lake on a fat bike with 39 other riders and ride 110kms on a ice road to Pikangikum arriving at 6pm.  While this is quite a feat in normal conditions it is expected that temperatures will be somewhere between minus 25 to minus 40 degrees celcius. 

Biking is a healthy activity and allows the youth in Pikangikum to ride collectively and independently within their community which is approximately 10kms in length.  It brings empowerment to the youth in an isolated area of Ontario.  Your donation to the bike program and the youth of Pikangikum will help ensure that it remains available for all youth within the community. 

Knowing that we are raising money for such a good cause will keep me motivated and determined to reach our destination in Pikangikum!
