The path to a better future for Indigenous youth and ultimately Indigenous communities is education. Indigenous students that choose to pursue a business diploma or degree may not have the same support system and network that other students enjoy. Employers in Alberta have a keen interest in attracting Indigenous students; however, there is a gap between the current culture of the workplace and ensuring business is truly an open and inviting place where Indigenous students and graduates can thrive.

New Buffalo Education Circle is an Indigenous Charity providing awareness, support, and opportunities to Indigenous learners. New Buffalo focuses on three main pillars of support:

1. Awareness of post-secondary education and career paths;

2. Support and community connections during post-secondary; and

3. Equitable access to co-op, internship, and full-time employment opportunities in a variety of industries.
