A world where every parent with cancer receives the support they need to no longer choose between their care and the care of their children. Where their children have the support of a specially trained volunteer angel to share their feelings in a healthy way and build emotional resilience.

When children learn their moms have cancer, they worry who will look after them should mom die. When moms get cancer, they worry who will look after their children should they die. In addition, when a mom gets cancer, she often works less, not at all, or a divorce takes place, putting a huge pressure on the family’s income. NAN’s program is free and designed to support children, moms and families living with cancer.

Through our Nanny Angels - volunteers, recruited and trained by NAN - we respond to the unique needs of children living with a mom who may die. Nanny Angels provide routines, normalcy and fun activities and they help answer questions about their moms’ cancer and about death and dying.
