About Nanaimo & District Hospital Foundation

The Nanaimo & District Hospital Foundation was founded on December 30, 1977 as a means for grateful patients and loved ones to support Island Health facilities. Today we purchase vital equipment, patient comfort items, and fund medical staff education to ensure our healthcare professionals have the tools and resources they need to provide even better healthcare for our Central Vancouver Island communities. For over 40 years, the Foundation has stewarded donations to expand services and reduce wait times for patients right here at home.

Together with our generous donors, we are helping to provide better healthcare for the following facilities and programs:

- Nanaimo Regional General Hospital, Nanaimo

- Oceanside Health Centre, Parksville

- Dufferin Place Extended Care Facility, Nanaimo

- Eagle Park Health Care Facility, Qualicum Beach

- Trillium Lodge Health Care Facility, Parksville

- Lifeline Silent Guardian Fund, Nanaimo/Parksville/Qualicum Beach
