When disaster strikes, WCK’s Relief Team mobilizes with the urgency of now to start cooking and serving meals to people in need. Working with organizations on the ground and activating a network of local restaurants, food trucks, or emergency kitchens, comforting meals are prepared and served to survivors of disasters quickly and effectively. The purchase of local ingredients to cook with or distribute directly to families in need is prioritized in order to support regional economies.
The alarming frequency, intensity, and scale of global crises requires an ongoing adaptation of humanitarian assistance models. Donations to this fund will support WCK’s work to serve fresh, comforting meals to communities
affected by crisis – with the ‘urgency of now’.
“We have one mission: let's feed people in need. Let's feed the hungry and let's bring water to the thirsty, and with that simple mission, everybody know what to do.” - Chef José Andrés
