As some of you may know, I am a member of the Board of Directors with My Friend’s House, a 24/7 Emergency Shelter for women and children suffering abuse in South Georgian Bay. My Friend’s House serves women from Wasaga Beach, Clearview Township. Collingwood, The Blue Mountains and Meaford and they are operating at maximum capacity almost all the time. This year, I’m walking in their signature fundraiser, The Red Shoe Walk, on Saturday, September 23 in downtown Collingwood, to help raise valuable funds for shelter operations. I’d love you to join me and my peers in this lighthearted and fun event that addresses a very serious issue in our small communities!
