Baroque Argento Trio in Pictou

A beautiful program of sonatas awaits you with the Baroque Argento Trio concert featuring traverso flute, baroque cello, and harpsichord. Sibylle Marquardt, Hilary Brown and Lynette Wahlstrom join us to perform works by Italian composers from the 17th and 18th century. Enjoy the spirited Venetian composer Benedetto Marcello, the ill-reputed Francesco Maria Veracini, and Domenico Garbielli - one of the earliest known virtuoso cellists. Female composer Anna Bon di Venezia is also brought to the stage for this program, as well as Bolognese composer Giovanni Boni.
