Recognizing Truth and Reconciliation, Mother Teresa Middle School (MTMS) ignites a love of learning and empowers students to embrace their personal and cultural identity while overcoming obstacles and growing their spiritual, intellectual, emotional, social, and physical well-being. MTMS believes in small school and class size and engaging the larger community in its work. Families, Elders, artists, musicians, entrepreneurs, and other key individuals are a crucial part of the fabric and spirit of the school. Together we are teaching, inspiring, and creating proud future leaders with a strong sense of identity. MTMS students are supported individually from Grade 6 until the time they are employed, including throughout high school and post-secondary. 

MTMS seeks to form spiritual, reflective citizens who exhibit love and compassion, are intellectually competent, engage in healthy behaviours, and are resilient, self-sufficient leaders for their communities. MTMS is built on the Jesuit ideal of “cura personalis”, which means care for the whole person.  This includes ministering to students’ spiritual, intellectual, emotional, social and physical well-being. MTMS seeks to create “People for Others”, using Jesuit philosophies, models and teaching methods to graduate students who are: Loving, Spiritually Alive, Intellectually Competent, Open to Growth and Committed to Doing Justice in the World.
