Our Mission

To offer dance experiences of significance through performance, mentorship and outreach with a focus on the senior dance artist

Our Mandate 

Led by award-winning dance artist Claudia Moore, Moonhorse Dance Theatre (MDT) incorporated as a not-for-profit charitable organization in 1996 as a home for Moore's dance performance projects. MDT is committed to sharing the gifts of Canada's senior dance luminaries, promoting health and creativity in the aging population and providing mentorship to young dance artists. 

About Moonhorse Dance Theatre

Moonhorse Dance Theatre was originally established as a forum for the performance projects of dance artist Claudia Moore. Moore's performance projects bring seasoned dancers together with acclaimed choreographers in solo, duet and ensemble creations. The company's work now encompasses 
-presentation in the acclaimed Older & Reckless series featuring Canadian dance artists of all nations and backgrounds, with occasional international guests
-professional development opportunities for young artists through the Older & Reckless Mentorship Residency and
-dance experiences and informative discussions for the public through Audience Warm-ups, Engaging Seniors in Dance Classes, Community Performance Projects and Circle Dance Talks
