Learning from Survivors in the film and working collectively over the past year to design a curriculum guide for the film has been nothing short of life-changing. It has changed the way I show up as an educator and has guided me on a learning journey that I hope to share with students so that we can further meaningful action toward truth and reconciliation together at Niagara College. I am participating in the walk/run/ride event to honour Survivors’ strength and courage to share their truths to teach us all and to support their goal of building a park where children and families can come together to play, learn and grow.
