About MISSION DISTRICT HISTORICAL SOCIETY
Since our founding in 1972, the Society has done a remarkable job of connecting people to their history, bringing our past to life, and highlighting our unique heritage for people of all ages and ethnic backgrounds. The Society endeavors to preserve and make accessible Mission’s collective memory – the documents, objects, sites and structures - that reflect all aspects of our diverse community, including the Indigenous Peoples, French Canadian, Italian, Indo-Canadian, Japanese-Canadian and Scandinavian pioneers. These unique assets are a means by which our culture is passed from one generation to the next.
