To T.O. we go - Barbara's journey to Toronto, ON - 1,510km

Barbara Slater is more interested in friends, family and good conversation than in travelling at the moment. 

“I like the concept of home,” says the 90-year-old Misericordia Place resident. Right now she’s really missing her daughter, Katie, in Toronto. 

“With COVID, Winnipeg can’t travel to Toronto and Toronto can’t travel here,” Barbara says ruefully. 

So, it’s settled. Barbara’s dream virtual destination is to go to Toronto to see her daughter, Katie. 

Until travel restrictions ease up, recreation facilitator Brianna is certainly connecting Barbara with Katie via FaceTime!
