Meet Ato Terefe Abawa, a member of the community in northern Ethiopia. For years, his family, like many others, endured the treacherous journey to collect water from an unprotected river and pond. This endeavor wasn't just inconvenient; it was life-threatening. Women and girls, including Ato Terefe's wife and daughters, risked their safety every day, facing dangers from both nature and other people.

The new water tap stand, just 500 meters from Ato Terefe's home, signifies more than just access to water—it symbolizes safety, health, and hope.
