The primary mission of the Melos Choir & Period Instruments is to perform music from the 12th to the 18th centuries using historically informed period performance practices, with programming that sheds light on the developments in western music and culture through those centuries. Along with that activity are two ensuing missions: developing skilled voices and instrumentalists that tackle challenging and rarely heard music, and being an educational resource for early music and history within the Kingston area to both adults and youth.
