Overview
The Mariam Society is hosting its inaugural Annual Fundraiser, with a goal to inspire young girls to dream big! Like the girls we support in rural India, every girl right here in Canada has a dream. During her teen years, she starts to envision what she wants for her future.
There is no better time to have access to inspiring mentors who forged their own way, as she creates the roadmap for her life. Hosted at the gorgeous Arlington Estates, will introduce daughters, granddaughters, nieces or that precocious girl in your life to women leaders who followed their dreams and are changing the world.
During the event, each girl will have the opportunity to join an intimate “Featured Circle”, hosted by female industry leaders from diverse sectors. Each leader will share her journey, stories and experiences, but most importantly the keys to her success. Participants will have an opportunity to ask lots of questions and build relationships with like-minded girls her age. She will also have an opportunity to “bid” on spending time directly with one of these leaders, shadowing her or experiencing a “day in the life”, during our Silent Auction! Funds raised will support The Mariam Society’s mission to educate 4,000 girls in rural India by 2030.

12:00 P.M. - Registration: Arrive at A Girl You Know, check in your coat, and receive your Featured Circle breakout session group information.
12:00 - 1:30 P.M. Cocktails & Mocktails: Meet & greet other participants, and take part of our event activations by discovering your past through prose, reflecting on your present through a beautiful picture portrait, and envisioning your future through an illustrated vision of your best future self!
1:00 - 2:30 P.M. Lunch: Enjoy tasteful culinary dishes and refreshments in the Arlington Estate main hall.
1:30 - 2:45 P.M. Opening Remarks & Panel Discussion: Learn about The Mariam Society's mission to educate and empower girls in rural India. Hear thought-provoking discussion from our panel of entrepreneurs and influencers on career advice and learnings.
2:45 - 3:15 P.M. Break Time: Enjoy dessert and coffee & tea.
3:15 - 4:15 P.M. Featured Circle Breakout Sessions: Join our Featured Circle women into working sessions developed to delve into their learnings and knowledge, and how you can best prepare for your future career.
4:15 - 4:45 P.M. Silent Auction: Bid on exclusive professional development opportunities with each of our Featured Circle women. All proceeds go directly funding our mission and sponsoring girls' education.
4:45 - 5:00 P.M. Concluding Remarks & Conclusion: With much gratitude, learn about a special announcement from Mariam Society's Founder, Gita Banks.
