Madison's Mission is to:
Promote the independence, health, recovery, and community integration of persons with mental health challenges through the provision of mental health case management, supportive housing and a broad range of other programs and services.
About Madison:
Madison is a non-profit, community-based mental health services provider based in Toronto and a United Way member agency.
In 1977 Madison was one of the first agencies to provide supportive housing to clients experiencing mental health challenges as well as homelessness.
Madison has grown and now serves over 900 clients each year. Our mental health case management approach is based on the Recovery model as well as a commitment to ensuring that our clients’ Social Determinants of Health (e.g. health, housing, employment, education, and income) are being met.
Many of our clients represent the most vulnerable and marginalized populations in Toronto. The majority of our clients live below the poverty line (on ODSP or OW). We serve adult individuals who have serious and persistent mental health challenges including the homeless; long-term users of the shelter system; the Hispanic population; and new immigrants and refugees fleeing persecution, terror, and war.
Madison’s programs and services represent hope and opportunity. While we are proud of the fact that our programs and services improve the lives of hundreds of clients each year, our work is never done. We need your support.
