Our School

At Lynn Valley Parent Participation Preschool, we strive to provide an environment that supports and challenges children's intellectual, creative and motor development, within an atmosphere of physical and emotional security. Everyone in the school is valued as a unique individual, and we strive, as a group, to support each other’s personal growth.

Situated in the original Lynn Valley Schoolhouse, Lynn Valley Parent Participation Preschool is fortunate to have this historical landmark as a permanent home.

Our Philosophy

A parent participation preschool is not just about ‘preparing’ your child for Kindergarten. It’s a place where children come to play, investigate, explore, learn, discover and re-discover, build, experiment, create, imagine, inspire others and be inspired themselves… it’s a place where three to five-year-olds come to be three to five-year-olds, with all that’s wonderful and challenging about this age.

One of the best things about LVPPP is the community it fosters.  Parents are there because they are committed to their children’s education and want to play an active part in it. 

Our Teachers

Parent Participation Preschool teachers are specially trained to model useful and innovative parenting techniques, and to teach parents and caregivers to become effective duty parents within the preschool environment.

Our teachers are provincially licensed through the Community Care Facilities Branch and belong to the Parent Participation Preschool Teachers Association. Involvement in this association provides continuing professional development and the opportunity to exchange ideas on a monthly basis.
