Our Mission
To provide people in Nanaimo and across Vancouver Island access to free and nutritious food in a welcoming and caring environment.
Our Charity
Loaves & Fishes sources an average of 300,000 pounds of food per month. Good food is provided free of charge, 7 days a week to individuals in need and over 100 other non-profits, food banks, schools and Indigenous communities across Vancouver Island. All food Loaves & Fishes provides is completely free of charge and operates on an "everyone welcome" policy with no income or address check for service.
For every $1.00 donation Loaves & Fishes provides over $5.00 worth of food for those in need.
