Get your holiday season started with us and wrap in luscious 4-part a cappella harmony.
Join us December 1st at the Maritime Labour Centre in Vancouver for our annual Holiday Concert.
This concert and fundraiser will feature Lions Gate Chorus and a few quartets too!
Who we are
Lions Gate Chorus is a vibrant community of over 100 women from all walks of life who love to sing. We are doctors, mothers, teachers, retirees, students, lawyers, pharmacists, executives, managers, writers, designers, photographers, nurses … it would be safe to say that we represent most vocations that come to mind.
Lions Gate Chorus is the 2019 International Silver Medal Chorus. Yes, International! We are a member chorus of Sweet Adelines which hosts an annual International Competition. This April we will be competing in Calgary on the Regional stage. A Regional win would qualify us to compete in 2021 at the International competition in St. Loius.
What we offer women
We are not only a singing community but an educational one too! We provide music education to all members as well as the opportunity to become leaders and be mentored in positions of leadership. We are a safe, accepting, and positive environment where women can be themselves, show their strengths and develop new ones without fear of judgment.
Details
Base ticket prices are set at $20 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Affordable holiday entertainment.
There will be FUN-draising opportunities, so come a little early and of course, 50/50 tickets will be available for purchase from our handsome, distinguished man lions ;) so bring some cash!
Doors open at 1:00 pm to festival seating (flat-floor).
