About L'ARCHE ARNPRIOR

L’Arche Arnprior welcomes men and women with intellectual disabilities and the assistants who live, work, and learn with them to share life together in community.  It is a place or belonging, celebration, support and growth for our members and a wide circle of family, friends, and volunteers.

The vision of L’Arche is rooted in a fundamental belief that each person is unique and sacred.  The primary purpose of community is to help each person to discover, develop, celebrate and use their gifts for the good of others.   Mutual relationships and trust in God are at the heart of our life together.

L'Arche Arnprior is home to over 60 individuals - core members and staff - living and working in 3 homes, 1 family home program, 8 independent apartments and 1 senior retirement home.

Our core members actively participate in daily work environments and/or day programs, yet we also make time to be with each other in community to celebrate and give thanks.

The core members are the "core" of our community and they continue to welcome assistants, employees and volunteers into an enriching experience ranging from the ordinary daily tasks to the extraordinary celebrations.
