We are a group of purpose driven volunteers dedicated to enhancing health care in our hospital and community.
Our volunteers provide services to hospital patients and Long Term Care Residents. We provide comfort items and volunteer in programs. A major hospital program is providing way fare and information to patients and visitors to the hospital. The majority of our funds go to purchase equipment for use in the hospital, Long-term care units or community health programs like Home Care. Major gifts are given to the hospital for capital projects. We also fund the Volunteen Program in the hospital and long term care units. Scholarships and bursaries are provided to students and hospital staff for education in medical fields.
Our volunteers operate two businesses: Langley Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Gift Shop and our LMHA Penny Pincher Thrift Shop. These businesses are a major source of funding for our endeavors.
Our membership of male and female volunteers averages about 225 and the volunteens about 100 students
