On Saturday, August 23, we will be participating in a Dragon Boat Race, benefitting the Oncology Clinic at Lakeshore General Hospital. With over 3,000 cancer patients treated annually, funds raised will help provide state-of-the-art equipment required to best treat and care for the ever-growing West Island community.
Dragon boat racing is the ultimate team activity. It is easy to learn, promotes teamwork, health and exercise, and is an activity where men and women compete side-by-side toward the same goal. Regardless of age or physical condition, once a paddler is in stroke, they are contributing to their team.
Please help us reach (or even exceed!) our goal, and help us make a difference for those fighting cancer in our community.
