Hello Friends!
I am combining my newly found passion for cycling with my lifetime love of my happy place on Lake Winnipeg by participating in Bike to the Beach 2024, a charity ride from Winnipeg to Victoria Beach on Aug. 9th.
Many of my friends near and far may not know that Lake Winnipeg is the 10th largest Freshwater lake in the world!! It is also a place where my family and all of my children have connected and made special friends and memories. However, our lake is in trouble. Harmful algae blooms are increasing and the health of our lake is in great danger. The Lake Winnipeg Foundation is working hard to research, advocate and support evidence-based solutions.
