Who we are

Maison Réconfort is a non-profit community organization that opened its doors in 1979. Since then, the team's mission has been to welcome women who are victims of domestic violence, with or without children, in a safe living environment appropriate to their needs.

Our mission

In addition to providing shelter services, our mission is to bring about social change by raising awareness, denouncing and fighting against all forms of domestic violence, so that one day, everyone will recognize the rights of women and children to the same quality of life.

Our services

Our services are structured around four basic principles: free services, confidentiality, accessibility and a feminist approach.

In concrete terms, they range from accommodation to out-of-home or post-housing support groups, telephone consultations, accompaniment in socio-legal procedures and individual follow-up for women or children. Awareness-raising workshops and training courses are also offered in a variety of settings. The team works year-round, 24 hours a day, seven days a week

Basic equipment for a new start: Thanks to your support, we can help women acquire the essentials to set up a new home, such as furniture, appliances and basic necessities.Enhanced recovery activities: We can organize fun activities, educational outings and entertainment for the children staying at Maison Réconfort.Legal and socio-administrative support: We can provide women with the resources they need to undertake socio-legal procedures with confidence. This can include accompaniment by legal professionals, access to specialized lawyers and help in preparing important documents.
