15th Annual Kids Golfing for Kids

This summer, Kristen French Child Advocacy Centre Niagara will once again partner with the Niagara District Junior Golf Tour (NDJGT), to host our signature fundraiser, 15th Annual Kids Golfing for Kids!

The NDJGT is an annual series of 10 tournaments featuring the best junior golfers from across the region. Throughout the summer, these young golfers raise pledges and awareness in support of the Kristen French Child Advocacy Centre Niagara to help Niagara’s most vulnerable citizens - children and youth who have experienced abuse.

Throughout the summer, during the 10-stop tournament, the youth raise money and awareness in support of the Kristen French Child Advocacy Centre. We recognize their golf achievements and fundraising and awareness efforts through prizes at the season ending banquet hosted at Beechwood Golf & Social House each year.

Kristen French Child Advocacy Centre operates without any core government funding and relies greatly on our signature, annual fundraiser Kids Golfing for Kids. Over 90% of those funds raised directly support the Centre, ensuring child victims in Niagara receive the support they need to heal and thrive.

Kristen French Child Advocacy Centre Niagara is incredibly grateful to be the designated charity of the NDJGT. The Centre is fortunate to be part of the Niagara community and have such compassionate sponsors, donors, volunteers, and partners.

About the Centre

The Kristen French Child Advocacy Centre Niagara is a safe place to help, heal, and end child abuse for Niagara’s children and youth who have experienced alleged physical abuse, sexual abuse, become the targets of internet luring, or were witness to violence. 

The environment is child-focused and private, providing a safe and non-threatening space for children & youth to disclose their abuse experience to specially trained teams from the Niagara Regional Police Service and Family and Children’s Services Niagara who respectively, investigate to determine criminal charges and protection needs.

Mental health professionals from Family Counseling Centre Niagara provide much-needed follow-up counselling support at no cost and without a waitlist. The existence of Kristen French Child Advocacy Centre minimizes the number of times children must tell their story, reducing the trauma of disclosure and ensuring coordinated, cost-effective delivery of service to Niagara’s children, youth and their supportive family members.
