Double the Support for Our Programs

Our mission is to provide the support that survivors need through healing retreats with research-based educational sessions with the end goal of increasing physical activity, improving nutrition, supporting sleep, and assisting with effectively dealing with stress. This is achieved within a supportive community of other survivors and caregivers in an effort to improve their quality of life and decrease the chance of cancer recurrence. 

While we hope to hold in-person retreats again soon, the pandemic has challenged us to find an innovative way to deliver our retreat programming. Our new program, Retreat in a Box, will allow us to deliver our retreats directly to survivors' doorsteps all across Canada! Each box will contain our educational retreat workbook, recorded presentations by experts in the fields of nutrition, exercise, sleep and mindfulness, and fun items to help facilitate positive health behaviour changes. These items are sourced from Canadian companies and include a journal with intention setting prompts, exercise bands, relaxing bath salts, healthy snacks and more. We hope to launch this November!

Why Donate?

Gifts from our generous donors are crucial to the success of our programming and we are grateful for your unique and valued contributions. When you donate to Knight's Cabin, your gift will be put directly toward one of our two programs, our retreat boxes or an in-person retreat. 

Cancer is expensive - patients have to take time off work and sometimes pay thousands of dollars out of pocket for the medications they need. We strongly believe that finances should not be a barrier to living a healthy life after cancer. We offer our retreats at a low cost and provide financial assistance for those that require the support. The average cost to host 25 survivors and their caregivers for a weekend is $18,000. In the meantime, each Retreat in a Box costs Knight's Cabin approximately $100. Your gifts will allow us to deliver wellness to survivors across Canada through our Retreat in a Box program and hold healing retreats in the future.
