The Katimavik National Experience is a 5-month program that supports young people in their efforts to become agents of change, supporters of Truth and Reconciliation, active contributors to an eco-friendly and sustainable world, and advocates for inclusiveness and diversity.

Support a movement of youth change-makers!

These young people are ready and eager to make positive change. But they need your help for the first step of the journey. By supporting Katimavik Participants, you are investing in the future leaders of our country and are contributing to the development of quality, life-changing experiences for youth.

Each Participant has a goal of fundraising $1000 to contribute towards the costs of their participation in the National Experience. These funds will help provide additional activities and resources to enhance the Participants' learning experience. Some examples of how the funds will be used include:

  • Inviting professionals from various disciplines to facilitate a workshop or learning session;
  • Purchasing supplies for a group community project, such as a community garden;
  • Investing in bicycles to use as an eco-friendly means of transport; or
  • Covering travel costs to visit an Indigenous community to learn about their culture and history.
