Our Mission
We are an auditioned community choir whose mission is to:
- Present excellent singing in a variety of musical genres from all eras,
- Give special emphasis to Canadian music,
- Premiere new compositions, and
- Promote educational and outreach opportunities.
About Jubilate Vocal Ensemble
The Jubilate Vocal Ensemble was founded by Jocelyn Pritchard and has been part of the thriving Vancouver choral community since 1994. Our 45 talented singers, who come from all walks of life, share a commitment to perform at the highest musical standards.
Jubilate sings a wide range of quality repertoire from all musical eras — Renaissance to vocal jazz — and is proud to premiere new Canadian compositions. Several budding composers sing in the choir and we love to be a part of their creative process.
We are proud and honoured to be the recipient of the Elmer Iseler Award for Best Performance of a Canadian Composition at the 2014 International Choral Kathaumixw festival.
