Our Mission

The Neighbourhood Parent Association or NPA comprises all the parents of JRR students. The NPA Executive is a group of parents who have volunteered their time to represent all JRR families and lead, with the assistance of many more volunteer parents, various fundraising efforts as well as extracurricular activities for our children at school. All these things are provided to enrich our children's in-class and extracurricular school experiences.

JOHN ROSS ROBERTSON COMMUNITY TRUST:  General Fund

The Annual Cash Drive, supporting our General Fund, is the engine of all the wonderful programs we have at John Ross Robertson. 

This year, some of the initiatives your JRR-NPA fundraising dollars are funding include:

• Grade Specific Initiatives: individual classroom needs & supplies

• Technology & Math: school wide digital math program (IXL) and digital math manipulators.

• Literacy: school wide digital reading program (RazKids), and grade specific literacy resources.

• Athletics, Health & Wellness: this year we have spent considerable funds to support and enhance our outdoor athletics program.  Additional funds have been allocated to support a school wide mindfulness program.  

These all run on your financial support, this funding pays for school supplies and programs the Toronto District School Board no longer provides.
