Jazz Winnipeg and King’s Head Pub hosted an amazing evening of music and improvisation in support of the Ukrainian Canadian Congress and the Canada-Ukraine Foundation’s Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.
Featuring volunteer house band Fabio Ragnelli (drums), Carter Graham (piano), and Karl Kohut (bass) this fundraising jam session happened Sunday, April 3, 7:30 pm, at the King’s Head Pub, 120 King Street. with donations gratefully accepted on behalf of the Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.
The Ukraine Humanitarian Relief Committee was established jointly by the Ukrainian Canadian Congress and the Canada-Ukraine Foundation to formalize a coordinated approach in providing humanitarian assistance quickly and efficiently to those in need in Ukraine.
The main efforts of cooperation are to provide humanitarian assistance and relief in the areas of assistance to displaced persons, medical care, emergency shelter, and food security. As Russia continues its assault on Ukraine and Ukrainian civilians, the need for humanitarian aid grows every day.
