As we seek to follow the way of Jesus, St. Peter's has been journeying through the book of Luke. We’ve had multiple invitations from Jesus to care for the poor through generosity with our finances and material belongings.
We are making that invitation practical and tangible with an invitation to Sell for the Well!
Our neighbours at Jacob's Well are in need of practical financial support. This faith-based organization exists to create a place of belonging for those living on the margins of our city, and they do so exclusively through the financial support of friends.
Jesus invites us to "sell our possessions, and give to the needy." Luke 12:33 Here are 4 easy steps to embody Jesus' invitation!
1. Find items in your home that you no longer need, or feel called to give up.
2. Post these items for sale - Craigslist, Facebook marketplace, perhaps someone directly who would buy it. Sell your items.
3. Donate the money here to support our friends at Jacob's Well.
4. Invite others to join!
