ABOUT INTEGRATED SERVICES FOR AUTISM AND NEURODEVELOPMENTAL DISORDERS
Established in 2013, ISAND is a registered non-profit organization that serves children and young adults with autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders. Our team of developmental pediatricians, psychologists, clinicians, and therapists work together with families to achieve the best possible outcomes for young people.
Many children and young adults can achieve significant developmental gains with support from the ISAND team. Our services are available in one centre, enabling families to receive fully integrated, coordinated and continued care. The generosity of individual and corporate donors and sponsors makes it possible for ISAND to offer the best possible service, regardless of a family’s ability to pay.
ISAND’S unique approach to care involves an integrated team that provides developmental medical care, mental health and wellness, and family support across three age groupings:
- Early Identification and Intervention (newborn to age 4)
- School Age (ages 5 – 14)
- Transition to Adulthood (ages 15 – 24)
In addition to providing a wide range of comprehensive, innovative, and evidence-based supports and services, ISAND is becoming increasingly known as a teaching centre both nationally and internationally. ISAND provides teaching and mentorship across all levels of pediatric medical training and welcomes speech-language pathology graduates for mentorship.
