Our Mission
Founded in 1900, IODE Canada is a national women's charitable organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for individuals, through education support, community service, and citizenship programs.
About IODE Canada
The National Chapter of Canada IODE is the governing body for Canada's premier women's organization with over 90 primary and provincial chapters and 1,350 members across Canada working together. Founded in 1900 and originally known as Imperial Order Daughters of the Empire, today's IODE women continue to work to improve the quality of life for children, youth and those in need through education support, community service and citizenship programs.
Members across the country raise approximately $1,500,000 every year and reinvest it in Canada's children, families and communities.
IODE is not government funded. Modest membership fees and endowment funds cover administration costs.
