Djibril and Dejan

Please help Djibril and Dejan raise $100 to donate to Grace Orphanage in the Congo. When the Grace children were asked what they would like for Christmas, their response was the simple bare necessities that we all take for granted – clothing, shoes and underwear.  The funds will buy three sets of underwear for each of the 34 children at Grace Orphanage, starting with Omari and Rama who are roughly the same ages as Djibril and Dejan. If you are able to, it would mean the world for them if you contribute towards their goal and help them understand why it is much more fulfilling to give than to receive.

Any funds raised above their goal of underwear for Omari and Rama will go towards supplying the rest of the Grace children with new underwear too. See more of our projects at www.CanadaHelps.org, search IWOF, click Campaigns.

Here are the boys' stories:

RAMA BARDON: Born in Kilomoni, Rama’s mother became ill and they went to live with a neighbor whose family lived close to our orphanage. After some time, our office was told that Rama’s mother had passed away. Rama was taken in by Grace Orphanage. He is in grade 6 and he wants to become a bus driver.

OMARI RAMAZANI: Born in Mushero vilage in the Uvira district, at 6 years old Omari’s village was attacked by rebels and Omari and his parents fled into the bush. They managed to hide for some time but were eventually found. His father and mother were taken away and never seen again. Omari was left with no one to care for him and he lived alone in appalling conditions on the streets of Uvira. Approx. 7 years ago he was taken into the care of Grace Ministries. He is in grade 7 and his is dream is to become a doctor.
