Our Mission

For more than 50 years, the Inter-Cultural Association of Greater Victoria (ICA) has been helping immigrants and refugees meet their social, cultural and economic goals. More than 70,000 people have benefited from ICA's wide range of services.

ICA's dedicated staff and volunteers provide language instruction, support finding housing and employment, youth services such as help with homework and support groups, plus a wide range of other services.

In addition, ICA is actively engaged in the community to strengthen connections between immigrants and those born in Canada. Through our work, we are building a strong, diverse and vibrant community. ICA is a welcoming, passionate and energetic organization that has been having a positive impact in the Greater Victoria region for nearly 50 years. We welcome your support!

About INTER-CULTURAL ASSOCIATION OF GREATER VICTORIA (ICA)

Each year, ICA serves more than 2000 immigrants and refugees. We help individuals and organizations to connect across cultures and provide information, support and tools to help immigrants and refugees reach their goals. By engaging people through networks, education and arts programming we create a welcoming community.

ICA offers services for newcomers, including settlement and integration counseling, translation and interpretation, English classes, mentoring, volunteer matching and peer support.

ICA also provides outreach and education in the community such as workshops on anti-racism, multiculturalism, diversity, and human rights.
