Our Mission
IRBE creates opportunity and promotes sustainability by providing resources and training for creators, makers, DIY enthusiasts, and anyone learning to repair, modify, or create things themselves.
In a world increasingly driven by throw-away culture, IRBE creates community projects that promote sustainability, and provide the training and support to empower individuals to take control of their choices.
Who We Are
IRBE represents a community of creators and makers in Toronto, Canada. We provide tools, workspace, and training to members, operate trades-training programs, host hackathons and repair events, and provide a friendly voice for advocates of sustainability.
What We Do
Projects of IRBE include the Toronto Tool Library, and TTLMakerspace.
Community-driven, these projects make a difference by allowing like-minded groups to pool resources and share access. They provide an alternative to the often unsustainable model of individual ownership.
