Since our founding in 1964, Inclusion Yukon has been providing advocacy, public education and support to both adults and children with intellectual disabilities, and their families. On behalf of this population, our areas of interest have spanned inclusive education, employment, early child development, health and disease prevention, housing, and income support.

As with many of our community partners, our definition for the term 'intellectual disability' continues to evolve as society's understanding of diagnosis and the rights of people with disabilities evolves; thus our current mandate includes programming and support for people with both visible conditions such as Down Syndrome and Cerebral Palsy, and less visible conditions including brain injury, FASD and Autism Spectrum Disorders, and other learning disabilities.
